Welsh Fire vs Northern Superchargers – The Hundred Women’s

The Hundred returns for its second edition this August!

Welsh Fire play their final home tie of the 2022 Hundred on the penultimate matchday as they host Northern Superchargers at Cardiff’s Sophia Gardens in preparation for a final-day bout against Trent Rockets..

The only Wales-based side in the tournament will be looking for a repeat of last year’s result against the side based at Headingley, having earned one of just their two victories against them, winning by five runs last July. Despite that result, the Superchargers still finished three points above Welsh Fire, who themselves concluded the group stage at the bottom of the table.

We’ll have the opportunity to see some great players in action once more, with the likes of Katie Gordon and Hayley Matthews battling for the hosts against the likes of heavy hitter Jemimah Rodrigues, who hit 249 runs in just seven Hundred innings last year – boasting an unbelievable tournament-high of 92 not out in the process.
