Welsh Open Inclusive Dance Championships 2024

Sponsored by RMA Sport, Impetus Sport are also working with Bridgend County Borough Council Prevention and Wellbeing Team, Inclusive Dance UK and World Para Dance to host the event.

We are pleased to announce that we are hosting the second Welsh Open Inclusive Dance Championships in Bridgend, South Wales, on Sunday 3rd March 2024.

We will have dancers and athletes coming along to compete for the gold in ballroom, Latin and freestyle categories, either as single, duo, combi or group entries for inclusive and wheelchair dancers.

It’s a fab-u-lous day of glitter, sequins, and pure talent.

No boundaries. For all ages, abilities or how we identify ourselves.  We are a LGBTQ+ friendly community, and believe dance is for everyone.

This is an international event welcoming dancers from around the world to attend.  We would also like to invite you to this event which we are proudly hosting on Sunday 3^rd March 10am-4pm (doors opening from 9am). 

This year we have the support with international judges, Corrie Van Hugten of the Netherlands, who will be our compare and one of our adjudicators for the day, Ansell Chezann from England and Geraint Heaney from Wales along with Inclusive Dance UK Chairman Ray Bulpit who will be our scrutineer for the day.

There will be categories for both Wheelchair Para and standing inclusive athletes in both class 1 & class 2 in the Standard Ballroom, Latin and Freestyle Performance sections for all dancers at all levels and ages to compete.
