Women’s Welsh Cycling Championships 2022
Welsh Cycling is pleased to share the plans for the 2022 Women’s Welsh Road & Time Trial Championships.
Following feedback from our clubs, and to ensure that we are providing the best race experience for our riders and spectators, we have agreed the following calendar of events that creates opportunities for people to compete to become the Welsh Champion, whilst also considering timetables in the congested Commonwealth Games year.
This programme of events includes the launch of a new celebration event, that will become an annual fixture in the calendar, to promote and celebrate women’s cycling from volunteers who keep our sport alive to our nation’s best female riders.
Welsh Cycling’s Chair Chris Landon said: “This year Welsh Cycling have been discussing ways in which they can further develop Women’s Cycling experiences at events. As a part of that process, we are pleased to announce a new layout for the Women’s Road Racing Championships.
Welsh Cycling’s plan for this event is to bring a better racing experience for women. In turn, we hope that encourages more women into the sport. As part of this event, we would like to develop and diversify our workforce and we would like to get as many volunteers involved as possible. If anyone is interested in helping, please contact our events team.
