Excitement builds for the Hay Festival Sports Day

The Welsh Sports Association (WSA) is once again thrilled to be linking the Welsh sport and leisure sector with the Hay Festival, following a successful inaugural Sports Day last year.

We are proud to be listed as a Project Partner to the Festival, which brings together diverse voices to listen, talk, debate and create, tackling some of the biggest political, social and environmental challenges of our time.

The WSA encourages members to take part in the Festival’s Sports Day, with the likes of football, fencing and badminton activities taking place alongside wild swimming and even yoga in last year’s edition.

Hay Festival have released the following:

Having lost the inaugural Hay Festival Cricket Match 2024 on the last ball, the Hay Festival All-Star team returns to face its nemesis – the local Hay Town team – umpired once again by actor and author Stephen Fry.

The WSA is thoroughly excited to be once again facilitating member engagement in this event, which represents a great opportunity to spread the thrill, joy and wellbeing benefits of our membership base’s wide-ranging variety of sporting activities.
