Fit for the Future Convention 2022

Fit for the Future Convention 2022

The Sport and Recreation Alliance’s flagship learning and training event, the Fit for the Future Convention, returns for 2022 this week! Taking place on Wednesday 6 April, it will focus on helping the sector to embrace technology.

The event, to be staged at Millennium Point in Birmingham, will provide insight and expertise from within the sector as guest speakers share their experiences and advice from their own journeys into technology.

There will be representation from the Welsh Sports Association present, in the shape of Thomas Sharp and Matthew Williams, joining the professional expertise and free support of the event’s headline sponsors Air IT as well as (among others) Joymo, the WSA’s official live-streaming partners. They will be taking their time to discuss how sport and recreation could better work alongside technology companies to enhance the products they offer and the service they provide.

Running from 09:30 until 17:00, the event will be divided into four sessions throughout the day:

  • Session One – Changing the Game with Technology
  • Session Two – Modernising your Strategy in a Digital World
  • Session Three – Opening your Activity to new Opportunities
  • Session Four – Demystifying Digital Transformation

The Sport and Recreation Alliance have agreed to share their member rates with WSA members too, so this is an excellent opportunity to get the sector back together en masse.

Day tickets for members are priced at £50 – a hugely reduced rate on previous years. There is an additional networking opportunity in the evening, including dinner, in which you can participate with an event ticket, priced at just £70 for WSA members.

Alternatively, WSA member organisations can buy a group ticket for £200 which allows five individuals to join for the day.
