Glamorgan Cricket joins WSA as Associate Member
The Welsh Sports Association (WSA) are delighted to announce the membership of Glamorgan Cricket, who join our ever-growing list of member organisations.
The club, located in Cardiff’s leafy Sophia Gardens, is the only Welsh-based outfit of the 18 first-class county teams, plying their trade in the England and Wales domestic cricket structure.
Glamorgan are the reigning Royal London Cup champions, having seen off Durham at Trent Bridge to earn their fourth title in county cricket’s limited over competitions.
As Associate Members, Glamorgan will now receive the benefits on offer from the WSA, including advocacy support and a range of business support services.
Head of Operations, Dan Cherry, said:
“As the only professional cricket club in Wales, we’re excited to come on board as a WSA member.
“WSA membership will provide Glamorgan with access to a vast range of services and resources, which will help us reach our business goals and create a stronger and more sustainable Club.”
Meanwhile, the WSA’s Business Development Manager Thomas Sharp added:
“We are delighted that Glamorgan Cricket have joined the WSA as Associate Members.
“We pride ourselves on being the collective voice for the sport & leisure sector in Wales, advocating and influencing key decision makers; so to have Glamorgan Cricket feeding in to our core work moving forward will no doubt have a really positive effect for the sector”.
