“I learned loads”: How can WSA training course Introduction to Sports Governance in Wales support you?

The Welsh Sports Association (WSA) offers an Introduction to Sports Governance in Wales course through the WSA Online Training Platform, in collaboration with training platform provider eCoach.

There are currently two courses live on the platform, of which Introduction to Sports Governance in Wales is one, with a further two available for pre-order.

The Online Training Platform is designed to support colleagues across sport and leisure to participate in accredited professional development, building resilience and aiding development across our sector.

The training covers essential areas, of which governance is one for all sporting bodies, organisations, and clubs. This specific course is delivered by industry expert Amanda Bennett and is designed to broaden an individual’s basic understanding of sports governance principles and practice in Wales.

Claire Donavon is a National Council Member with WSA member the Welsh Rugby Union, and has recently taken the course.

“I really enjoyed the course,” she stated.

“It was really comprehensive and, although I have experience at Director level, I still learned loads!

“I really liked the balance between Amanda’s comments and the diagrams used, the examples really made sense.”
