New WSA service Advocacy Plus

The Welsh Sports Association’s (WSA) new initiative, Membership Plus, represents an extension of the existing core membership offer. One of the first two packages within that extension is Advocacy Plus.  

The Advocacy Plus package includes a variety of services, offering members strategic advice and specific guidance relating to Welsh Government and the Senedd.

The offer will include advocacy support to your organisation’s leadership team with two development sessions containing political advice available yearly; bespoke monthly advocacy reports relating directly to your organisation’s strategic objectives; and two annual sessions to aid strategic development, including stakeholder mapping, support with policy and help feeding into advocacy plan.

Organisations will also be given access to the online politics training programme with unlimited access for staff, offering the opportunity for your team to obtain a solid understanding of sports policy in Wales and the wider political landscape.

Meanwhile, there will also be introductions to officials as well as access to political briefing documents with proposed guest lists and suggestions to engage embrace the wider sporting landscape in relation to Principal 7 of the Sports Wales Governance and Leadership Framework Wales.
