Chair – BowlsWales
BowlsWales is the nationally recognised coordinating body for the sport of bowls in Wales. There are four individual bodies sitting under the umbrella of BowlsWales – Crown Green, Indoor, Lawn, Short Mat and two member organisations – Coaching and Umpiring. These individual disciplines are currently managed independently by organising committees.
The role:
This is a rare opportunity to provide strategic leadership at a pivotal time in the evolution of BowlsWales. As Chair, you will guide our skills-based board through a transformation that will shape the future of the sport across Wales. You will work closely with stakeholders across the sport, government, and the corporate and voluntary sectors to ensure we continue to grow and deliver on our mission.
The role will require you to balance innovation and tradition, ensuring that bowls remains a vital part of Welsh culture, while simultaneously pushing the sport towards new opportunities and growth. We are looking for someone with the resilience, vision, and charisma to achieve real, lasting change.
