Welsh Sports Foundation receives generous donation from Enterprise Holdings Foundation
The Welsh Sports Foundation (WSF) has received a donation from Enterprise Holdings Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Welsh Sports Association (WSA) partner Enterprise Holdings.
The donation, worth £2,500, will support the Foundation’s commitment to removing financial barriers to sport and physical activity for children and young people across communities in Wales.
The WSF has just launched a pilot project to undertake this work.
Created to ensure it can work alongside Welsh Government, Sport Wales and National Governing Bodies of Sport in Wales, the WSF’s vision is to create a healthy and happy Wales, where every individual child and young person is able participate in sport and physical activity.
In levelling the playing field, the WSF will ensure that no child is left on the side-lines.
Commenting on Enterprise Holdings Foundation’s donation, WSF Chair Richard Thomas commented:
“On behalf of the Welsh Sports Foundation, I would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for this generous donation.
“This support is instrumental in helping children from underserved communities access the transformative power of sport through the pilot project that we are currently delivering. This contribution will enable us to provide opportunities for young people to engage in healthy activities, develop essential life skills, and build lasting friendships.
“We are grateful to Enterprise Holdings Foundation for believing in our mission and for making a positive difference in the lives of children in Wales.”
