WSA collaborates with The CPSU to produce updated Safeguarding Policy Statement Template
The Welsh Sports Association (WSA) is delighted to announce the launch of a new Safeguarding Policy Statement template, produced in collaboration with the Child Protection in Sport Unit (CPSU).
The editable templates provides sport and leisure organisations with the opportunity to implement and embed effective safeguarding policies, practices and procedures within their organisations, enabling a safer sporting culture across the sector.

Accompanying the template are guidance notes on how to edit it to best suit your organisation, including tailoring it to your reporting mechanism, ensuring a simple process to implement such a vital element of Safeguarding.
WSA Safeguarding Manager, Sian Jones, commented:
“We know that collaboration across safeguarding is absolutely critical to making sport and leisure safer, and we were delighted to work with the CPSU on this piece of work to increase accessibility to a key safeguarding resource, tailored to Welsh legislation and best practice.

It provides a clear framework for organisations to embed best practice, strengthen safeguarding culture, and ensure safe, inclusive environments across the sector.”
