WSA Partner Showcase Event Kicks Off Christmas with Thanksgiving

Following another great year for Welsh sport, the Welsh Sport Association (WSA) kicked off the festive season with a partner showcase event to say thanks to members for their support during 2018.

Raising awareness of the breadth of new services available to members, the event brought together over 50 sporting organisations from across Wales.

The WSA’s membership has already grown by 25% so far this financial year, and with five new partners in addition to existing support services, sporting organisations in Wales can be confident that they are getting the best value for their membership.

Victoria Ward, CEO of WSA said:

“It’s hugely encouraging to see so many of our members taking such an active interest in our services. Harnessing the collective bargaining power of the sector means we can provide both savings and added value, so we are particularly pleased that Welsh sport is taking advantage of the many benefits of WSA membership. We have a passionate and dynamic team, committed to delivering advocacy and resilience for our members, so we’re really grateful that so many within the sector have come together to help us celebrate our successes.”

Tom Sharp, WSA Business Development Manager said:

“In response to our member’s requirements we’ve brought in some great new partners this year – including travel management company, Traveleads; Sport:80 with their robust online membership platform; and Enterprise’s pool car and rental offering. These, added to Orchard’s fantastic media and events capabilities, and support from Wales Cooperative Centre’s Social Business Wales programme means our members are in a great position to improve their resilience heading into the New Year.

“We’re always looking for new opportunities to help the sector invest in its sustainability, and will continue do to this in 2019. This event has been a wonderful way to say thanks to our members for their enthusiasm and support during what’s been a really exciting year for us – let’s hope next year is as much fun!”.
