Kelly Davies

She currently serves as the UK Director of Everyone a Changemaker at Ashoka, the world’s largest network of social entrepreneurs, empowering changemakers across sectors such as healthcare, education, climate change, technology, business and sports in her role.

Kelly previously co-founded The Good Wash Company, a Welsh social enterprise that was recognized as Welsh Start-Up of the Year and achieved rapid growth under her leadership, and founded and led Vi-Ability, an award-winning social enterprise that used football as a platform to engage disenfranchised young people. Her leadership at Vi-Ability helped influence sports policy and contributed to tackling social issues such as homelessness and re-offending.

In addition to her executive roles, Kelly has held several non-executive positions, including chairing the Social Business Wales board and serving on advisory boards for various organisations. She is currently the Chair of WSA Member Cymru Football Foundation, overseeing a £10 million annual investment in football facilities across Wales on behalf of the FAW.

Eve Joseph

Before transitioning to the sports industry, Eve spent 15 years at Microsoft, working on the intersection of business and ESG, restructuring the way in which Microsoft and other F500 organisations addressed Sustainability.

Throughout her career, Eve has become known for taking a blank sheet of paper, injecting energy and creating something new and impactful. The most recent example being the Clean Water Sports Alliance, which has brought together seven UK sporting governing bodies to raise the bar on what it means to collectively share a voice on an important topic – in this case, the state of the UK water ways.

The WSA is thrilled to be able to welcome such expertise for the Sustainable Leadership: Guiding Welsh Sport through Effective Governance panel at the Sustainability in Sport Conference 2024.

WSA CEO, Andrew Howard, commented:

“The WSA Sustainability in Sport Conference is a vital opportunity for key stakeholders and decision-makers in our sector to unite, collaborate, and share around a key issue facing us all.

“We are thrilled to be able to offer such expertise on our panels, and are excited to welcome Kelly, Dan and Eve to the Conference to share their insight and provoke meaningful discussion around sustainable leadership and how we can guide our sector and address this key issue through the coming years with effective governance.

“Kelly and Dan are two leaders from the WSA membership who will share insights on how they have successfully integrated sustainability into the culture of their organisations. Meanwhile, Eve, a prominent sustainability champion in the sector outside of Wales, recently founded the Clean Water Sports Alliance, making her presence at the conference a significant addition.

“The WSA looks forward to welcoming delegates to Newport’s Riverfront Theatre on Tuesday November 12, and hope you can join us.”
