Fitness Industry Services CIC join WSA as Full Members

The Welsh Sports Association are happy to announce that Fitness Industry Services CIC have joined the WSA as Full Members.

Fitness Industry Services CIC exists to make a positive impact in getting people active. They create projects that enable communities to become active and get people moving, creating an engaging pathway to a healthier life, and supporting fitness instructors in doing so.

FIS CIC are working on and have been involved in a number of exciting projects. For example:

  • They are about to launch MoveMoreTV via Smart TV apps, an exercise platform initially aimed at care homes to help get residents and staff active.
  • They have registered and launched The Fitness Lottery, a society based fundraising vehicle from which proceeds will be put back into supporting activities at community level across the UK.
  • They partner with leading fitness brands to reach nearly 20,000 active exercise instructors and support them in their marketing and business planning, in order for their classes to grow participant numbers post-COVID-19.
  • And they offer various industry services such as liability insurance and music licences at lower prices than other suppliers, in order to help instructors save money.

It is very exciting to have Fitness Industry Services CIC join our membership base! As Full Members, they will look to utilise partner offers such as our collaboration with Watkin Davies, and will particularly look to take advantage our DBS checking service!

Director of Fitness Industry Services CIC, Brett Pearson, stated:

“Having been involved in getting people active for over four years, when the opportunity to join the WSA and improve our reach into Wales it was a simple decision.

“Being Welsh myself, I appreciate the efforts needed to get more people active, especially in areas that have other pressures that impact their residents. Being able to now work collaboratively with WSA, Sport Wales and their partners will make running activity projects easier.”
