How can the WSA DBS service support you?

How can the WSA DBS service support you?

The Welsh Sports Association (WSA) has been providing a DBS checking service – run through our trading arm Vibrant Nation – since 2016, a service which has seen its client base grow to over 300 organisations.

Our DBS service is designed to allow organisations to maximise their capacity and efficiency by reducing the burden of this vital part of safeguarding responsibilities – in turn contributing to them being more resilient, sustainable, and successful so that they can help set up a society that is fit for the future.

There are a number of factors that have seen our DBS checking service grow so widely…

  1. The WSA provides Wales’ only bilingual DBS service, ensuring that any organisation in the country is able to access it. We also offer a bilingual helpline, ensuring that you are able to speak to someone in either Welsh or English should you have any queries over the process.
  2. It’s a completely digitalised system – gone are the days of an unreasonable number of paper pages to sift through! Being online, our system makes the whole process a lot more efficient, easing the administrative toll of such a crucial component of ensuring the safety of children and vulnerable adults.
  3. Our service has been tested and approved by the Ministry of Justice and The Home Office and has been endorsed by both Welsh Government and the NSPCC – so you can rest assured that the service is up-to-date and of the highest quality.
  4. Last but not least, the WSA’s DS checking services one of the most competitively-priced on the market! It shouldn’t be an overwhelming financial burden to make sure that your activity is safe for its participants, so we offer cheap rates on the administrative fees for each DBS check, with WSA members receiving a discounted rate – alongside Community Leisure UK members, courtesy of our Memorandum of Understanding.

Our service is not run for profit, either. All the money made from our DBS checking service goes back into sport and leisure to make the sector as enjoyable, safe and prosperous as it possibly can be for all!
