Sport Wales announce Storm Damage Fund
We are pleased to report that following discussions with the Welsh Government, Sport Wales has secured additional funding that is allowing us to open a Storm Damage Fund. Not-for-profit community clubs and organisations that have been affected by recent storm damage can apply for grants up to £5,000 to help them recover.
Clubs only have a short window in which to apply for the grants which range from a minimum £300 up to a maximum £5,000. Applications open at 9am on Tuesday 10 December and close one week later at 4pm on Tuesday 17 December.
The grants can be used to help with costs covering repairs to facilities, clubhouses, fixtures and fittings, flooring, furniture, infrastructure, equipment, pitch works, utilities repair, replacing white goods and cleaning costs. We will aim to ensure the applications are processed within a maximum of 4 weeks, although this is subject to the volume of submissions received.
