Currently Director of External Affairs at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Kate is responsible for all public-facing marketing, communications, stakeholder engagement, partnerships and creative programming at the national conservatoire of Wales.

With previous roles including Head of Communications, Policy & Strategy for Sport Wales, Director, Communications & Engagement at Qualifications Wales, Head of Communications and External Affairs BBC Cymru Wales, Kate brings a range of strategic communications experience to WSA.

Working daily in the field of communications, marketing and public affairs means she is up to date on the latest industry practice, data and insights so that she can advise on the wider WSA strategy and direction. While looking at the long-term future for the organisation, she is also a sounding board for campaigns and activity support when required by the core team.

Notably she provides her knowledge and experience to WSA’s public profile, including brand, communications and the advocacy agenda, with vision, mission and values reflected by the WSA team’s work.

Members have chosen to invest in WSA and Kate is passionate that the organisation is uniquely placed to be the active voice of the sector. Identifying and articulating members’ views and opinions in a clear, concise and constructive way can only help drive positive change and action for sport in Wales.
