Max Parsons

Public Affairs and Communications Officer

Max joined the Welsh Sports Association team as Content Marketing Officer in January 2022.

In his role, Max takes large responsibility for the creation of the WSA’s digital content; so, any news article or social media post you may see, for example, was likely produced by Max!

Possessing a creative mind, he takes experience of creating written content in a digital space into his role with the WSA, having combined a passion for football with a love for writing to carry out work as a freelance football journalist on the side for some time.

Sport has always represented a significant part of Max’s life – in fact, with the middle name Pompey, football’s been central to his upbringing and he’s been condemned to life-long sentence as a Portsmouth fan!

As well as the beautiful game, Max enjoys either watching or playing cricket, table tennis, badminton, pétanque, and has a very soft spot for snooker and pool, having played the latter to a high level in his university days.

“I’m thrilled to be able to use my creativity and determination for such an important organisation within the sport and leisure sector, and look forward to helping the WSA further its mission and vision of promoting a more active and vibrant Wales.”
