Welsh Leisure Hub
Since early-April 2020, WSA has been working with the Welsh Government and Sport Wales to guide a responsible and managed return to sport in Wales. Working towards each phase of the review of the lockdown regulations, every 21 days. WSA has convened groups to look at the challenges faced by different parts of the sporting landscape in Wales.
The Welsh Leisure Hub was commissioned by the Sport & Leisure Facilities Group, chaired by Angharad Collins, Chief Executive of Torfaen Leisure Trust, whilst working in partnership with Sport Wales and the Welsh Sports Association.
The Hub is administered by Craig Campbell of CC Leisure Solutions and Dawn-Anne McAneny of Data Pepper Limited, both of whom have dedicated their time to help leisure operators throughout the UK, plan and rebuild for re-opening their facilities, with almost 50 years of direct experience in the UK leisure sector between them.
The Hub’s purpose is to provide an online platform for leisure operators in Wales, to access and share resources on a 24/7-accessible digital network not only during the COVID-19 rebuild phase, but going forwards into the future. The intent for the Welsh Leisure Hub is to build upon the good work already completed with the development of a single Welsh Operational Plan, to increase collaborative work across the leisure sector in Wales.
Please see information below which will enable operators to register and request to join the Welsh Leisure Hub Group. It is a restricted group, so this is the only method to access the system, apart from being directly invited to join.
