Plus, with industry-leading insight and intelligent carbon-offsetting technology, WSA members can access whatever they need at their fingertips.

“Gray Dawes Sports has a wealth of experience supporting a wide range of great clients. As part of the largest and oldest independent TMC in the UK, our expertise in travel is second to none,” previously stated Jon Hutton, Head of Sport Operations for Gray Dawes.

“The innovative tools and technology we have available, coupled with fantastic, knowledgeable staff with deep sports expertise will provide the WSA and their clients with a proven winning travel solution.”

An independent and family-owned business, Gray Dawes’ approach to travel management can be summed up as ‘high touch, high tech’. They focused on understanding their clients’ culture, values, and objectives to deliver on a higher level with their trademark emphasis on personal service.

This ethos was evident as they supported WSA members Welsh Rowing with the organisation’s travel to the Home Nations Rowing Regatta last year.

“We were transporting over 70 athletes and support staff from two different locations in England and Wales across to Ireland, and had to be shuttled to and from the accommodation,” Welsh Rowing told the WSA.

“What made this trickier was that half were juniors and we had athletes with disabilities who required the use of a wheelchair. So, booking coaches on both sides of the water and ferries was a huge undertaking.

“They arranged all of this for us with a detailed itinerary and contacts of all the companies.

“The experience was very good. They weren’t phased by the travel details and came back promptly; the ease of use was fantastic!”
