Virtual Safeguarding Conference hosted by Community Leisure UK, Child Protection in Sport Unit and the Ann Craft Trust.
This virtual conference is part of Community Leisure UK‘s (CLUK) Safeguarding Special Interest Group. Special Interest Groups are thematic networking groups for members and through these networks, CLUK often organises additional events for members as appropriate and based on need. Please note that this event is only for CLUK & WSA members and organisations invited by CLUK.
Ann Craft Trust (ACT) and Child Protection in Sport Unit (CPSU) have been actively involved in the Safeguarding Special Interest Group, providing CLUK members with updates on the latest developments within safeguarding practice, policy and provision of training opportunities.
ACT, CLUK, and CPSU have designed this Safeguarding conference based on conversations within the Safeguarding Special Interest Group, identifying developments and needs for future learning and collaboration in the public leisure and culture sector, and based on the expertise of CPSU and ACT.
The conference sessions will be delivered by experts from ACT and CPSU, with guest speakers invited for certain sessions (more details to be announced soon).
This conference is designed to be relevant for any CLUK member of staff working in public leisure or culture who has a safeguarding responsibility. This includes, but is not limited to, dedicated safeguarding leads, HR managers, Centre and Duty Managers, festival organisers, youth engagement leads, swimming teachers, and instructors.
The cost to attend this virtual conference is £11.50 for the first delegate and £6 for each additional delegates from the same organisation. Please book your tickets per organisation, selecting ONE ticket for ‘General Admission – First Attendant’ and additional ‘General Admission – Additional Attendants’ tickets as appropriate.
