Would you like to explore online fundraising, receive free training and unlock heaps of match funding?

WSA has paired with Localgiving to offer our members the chance to explore online fundraising.

Localgiving is a not-for-profit that supports 350 groups in Wales to raise money through online appeals and by encouraging fundraisers. They can help you to make an online donation page, as well as helping you to promote your work and successfully raise sustainable income. WSA members are being offered 25% off the membership cost, bringing it down to just £72 for a year of help. Here is some more detail about this offer:

  • 25% off a 12 month Localgiving membership (pay just £72instead of £96)Automated Gift Aid for all groups, whether registered charities or not (an extra 25% on top of donations)
  • Free friendly support from trained fundraisers and a helpline
  • Automatic inclusion in national match funding campaigns to boost your fundraising (unlock more free money at regular times of the year)
  • WSA will arrange free group training sessions for its members

This is a new offer and signing up won’t take very long at all. All you need to do is click on this link to start registration and enter the promo code WSA2019 when you reach the payment section: join.localgiving.org/wsa

Localgiving is also providing over 500 grants of £500 (funded by Postcode Community Trust) for sports groups. The Magic Little Grants Fund provides not-for-profit groups with the opportunity to access funding to deliver engaging sports or physical activities. Groups need to have an annual income of below £250,000 and apply before 30th November 2019. The sooner you get your application in the more likely you will be to receive funding – it is a very short and simple grant application that takes 10 minutes once you are a Localgiving member!

To benefit from funding, projects need to either overcome ‘barriers to participation in physical activities in creative ways’ or ‘increase social cohesion through developing access to sports and other recreational activities’. You can find full information about applying for the grant here and applicants can sign up to Localgiving for free: localgiving.org/magic-little-grants

This is a really good opportunity to look at a new income stream, whilst being supported, so if you have any queries please get in touch with Lauren Swain via [email protected] or Thomas Sharp via [email protected]
